Extreme couponing is like a drug

I don't know why extreme couponing is SOOOO satisfying. It truly is better than sex. Is this an illness?  Well I was done until my mother gave me the coupon book from yesterday's paper. I was ecstatic when I saw that a lot of the coupons were for the same things that are on my Ibotta rebate app. I have a Walmart gift card in my wallet right now for $41 and something. Combining these things is like getting things for next to nothing. I'm off today, and maybe we'll hit up Walmart even though we truly need nothing. My only obstacle is an extremely bored child that hates shopping. She really misses school, but that's a post for another day.

The joys of working with the elderly

The 93 year old man I work with has had some doozies come out of his mouth, but today took the cake. I made the mistake of asking when his wife died. He said he couldn't remember what year she died, but she died suddenly. At the time, they were visiting their oldest daughter in Idaho.
He actually drove the body all the way from Idaho back to Houston in the back of a flatbed truck. I looked at him and said, "you did WHAT?"
He responded that he put foam underneath and nailed the covering down so that she would not be exposed. Oh my goodness. It's such a good thing he did not get pulled over by the cops. I'm kind of traumatized tonight and hope I don't have nightmares. I love road trips, but not with a body.

Yes Makeup

Have you heard of Alicia Keys' new campaign called #nomakeup to get women to stop wearing it?  I took part in the counter movement, #yesmakeup. I posted this selfie with the hashtag. I don't like women telling other women what to do. If you don't want to wear it, don't; if you do, then have at it

No more shopping for a while.

M

I was keeping all of my extreme couponing savings and earnings on a Walmart gift card, and it's at zero now, so I'm done. Whew!  As you can see, my closet has doubled as the toilet paper and paper towel room. I've sold cans of baby formula and made $5-$7 profit on each one all while giving the people a good deal.

I forgot to mention the app called shop kick. With shop kick, you don't even have to buy anything to earn points towards a gift card. You earn "kicks" just by walking into stores and scanning items in the stores without buying them. There are short surveys after each scan. I earned just enough for a $2 Walmart gift card. I would have waited till I had more points for a higher gift card, but I cashed out to see how it works. The gift card is on the app!!!  They don't mail you an actual one. Most of the Walmart cashiers by me are middle aged women who freak out at the site of a smart phone deal. Because of this, I might just take it to the Walmart gas station and have the kid in the booth scan it for $2 worth of gas. Might be less stressful.
